Numbers, qualifications and experience of staff
We have a variety of Trained Nurses, who are trained in General and Mental Health Nursing. Our care assistants are currently under going or have achieved NVQ training, communication skills training, person centred care and dementia care and have undertaken in house and mandatory training courses as required by our regulators. We are in partnership with Nottingham University in providing placements for student nurses who are undergoing training in health care of the elderly.
A summary of the roles of all staff is included below:
Acting Home Manager: Vindhya Unni
Registered Provider: Mrs. Jagruti Patel, BSc Pham, MRPA.
Relevant experience: Mrs Patel has some twenty-five years in healthcare and her clinical background is as a qualified pharmacist.
Nurses organise, plan and review care in liaison with families, residents and healthcare professionals. Supervise carers on the delivery of quality care
Care staff and key workers Carry out direct (‘hands-on’) care under the supervision of nurses and in accordance to the agreed plan of care
2 Activity Co-ordinators provide a meaningful range of activities for both individual and groups of residents
Administrator supports the care manager on all aspects of administration from fee payments to staff wages
Domestics work as members of the care team to ensure that the Home maintains consistently high standards of cleanliness
Hairdresser for male and female residents
Fitness Coach
Optician Service is provided by a company that uses state of the art eye tests for people with Dementia
Cooks ensure that residents can enjoy the highest standards of catering and involve residents in menus ranges and choices
Laundry staff ensures that there is an efficient and organised laundry service for all residents
